Generate with Prototyper

Prototyper helps you generate explorable design structures, not finished screens.
Everything you generate here is meant to help you think through how a solution could work before committing to detailed UI or implementation. Use Prototyper to see, compare, and decide.

How to think about generating in Prototyper

Before generating anything, ask: What decision am I trying to clarify?

Prototyper works best when you treat outputs as questions you can explore, not answers you have to accept.

Access Prototyper via side navigation

You can access Prototyper mode from the side navigation where you can view your previous Prototypes and chats you had.

Switching in the chat prompt

In the chat thread, from the chat interface, select the the prototyper mode to switch the chat conversation model to Prototyper

What can you do with Proototyper

Generate prototypes for the right problem

Once you understand the context and clearly define your users’ needs and pain points, Prototyper helps you explore interactive solution directions that address the right problem.

Instead of jumping straight into UI, you can generate and compare prototypes that reflect your thinking while gaining insights into why a solution works, not just how it looks. This allows you to design with intent, grounded in understanding rather than assumptions.

Explore quick validation with others

Use this when you want to understand how a solution might be organized.

Prototyper can help you explore solutions mapped to the problem you are trying to solve:

  • Overall layout direction
  • Page or screen hierarchy
  • How content and actions are grouped

Important principles to remember

  • Outputs are not final designs
  • Iteration is expected
  • Regeneration is a strength, not a failure
  • Comparison leads to better decisions
